Going Virtual
I finally have something I can talk about! If you have been following along on Instagram you know that right now I am working on a bunch of secret projects that I can’t share; all I can say is that they are going well and once I can talk about all this excitement, watch out, because I have a ton of tips and different stories to share with you. Of course this has made it a little difficult to write a blog post because everything I come up with is in some way related to one of these projects, but finally I have good news, something that I can talk about that I am ready to share with all of you!
On December 4th I am going to be hosting my first virtual workshop! I have wanted to do this for a while but I wasn’t sure which topic would be best, or exactly how to format the class. But I finally dove in and reworked my in- person quilt in a day workshop, which uses my Jelly Roll Square quilt, for a virtual format and am going ahead with this class. I think this will make a great introductory workshop because the project is really fun (who doesn’t like finishing a beautiful quilt quickly?), and very timely. (Anyone besides me really behind in the handmade holiday gift department? This is a great project).
While the beginning of December may seem a little late for still making gift quilts, I can tell you that with the right design (and the Jelly Roll Square is the right design) you still have plenty of time! This is my go-to pattern for gift quilts - each one turns out differently and the best part is you really can finish one (quilting and all) in a day. Take a look below at just a few examples to see how different this quilt can look:
Starting to like the idea of making one of these for the holidays? Then sign up for the workshop! It includes the pattern (a $10 value) and while regularly priced at $35, this first workshop session is on sale for just $15! So for an extra $5 dollars you will be able to ask questions, get extra tips and tricks, and even suggestions on basic modifications to the pattern to help use fabric you already own. Click here to sign up.
I hope to have you join the workshop and have the chance to make a quilt in a day for the holidays. If you have any questions please email me at createdesignmake365@gmail.com And soon I am going to have more exciting announcements about other upcoming projects and events, and fingers crossed I am going to be able to start sharing some of the great tutorials I have developed from these secret projects soon too! If you haven't already, make sure to subscribe to my newsletter to stay up to date on the latest events and specials.
That’s all for now, stay tuned for more and happy sewing!
