Sailing Quilt Along

I am very excited that the Sailing Quilt Along is going to be starting in just a couple of days! The fun begins on September 12th! This is a great pattern for beginners who want to learn a little something new and gain some more experience. During the quilt along we will talk about a lot of different skills and techniques including: 

- How to press seams, and why you want to press them a certain way

- Different ways to produce multiple blocks at a time 

- Making two at a time half square triangles (HST) 

- And much more! 

The best part is that this is set up so that each new skill builds on the last. Basically we go from simplest to most difficult during the course of the quilt along, and by the time you are done you have a finished quilt. There are also going to be a lot of fun weekly giveaways to take part in each week.

And don’t worry if you are finding this quilt-along a little late, we are taking a nice and easy approach so you will be able to catch up without an issue, and all the videos will remain posted on Instagram so you can go back to them if you need to. 

So, if you are just getting started make sure you head over to the shop and pick up your pattern (it comes with instructions for three different sizes), and if you are having trouble deciding on colors you can watch the quick video I made on selecting colors for your quilt, or look at the samples on the QAL page.
